Zodiac Wednesday: Lelouch Lamperouge

Hello to all my kings and queens out there. Not many of you know this about me but I study astrology. Like ya boy is mad into astrology. Astrology has been a great tool for me to understand people and is something that has always intrigued me. So starting today I will combine my love for astrology with my love for anime to create Zodiac Wednesday!

Now for those of you who don’t give two shits about astrology and don’t really know much about astrology… You’re gonna learn today. And trust me this will be awesome and fun because it includes ANIME! (Yay! Woo! Go nuts!)

How it works is every Wednesday I will pick one anime character and write out a short description on their appearance, their personality, and their actions in the series and give a final verdict as to what their sign is based on that data. If any of you agree, disagree, or have questions, that’s where you comment below and I can hear out your reasoning and we can geek out about it.

So for the first Zodiac Wednesday, we are going to start with a character we all know and love. The reputable and ever so handsome Lelouch Lamperouge (aka Lelouch vi Brittania).

So if you’ve seen Code Geass or know of Code Geass then you know how admirable Lelouch was by his peers. Every girl wanted to get with him and every guy wanted to be his friend. Which makes it hilarious because he carried a very nonchalant attitude about his secret admirers, and that’s if he even noticed they were there. His laissez-faire attitude also showed in his school/work life yet he still earned some of the highest grades in Ashford Academy. At this point, there’s no question that Lelouch is the “Mr. Hotshot” of the series.

So we got very liked by all his peers…check that off the list. Very handsome and nonchalant about it…check that off the list. So far, I can tell he is definitely an Air sign (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) or a Fire sign (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius). Let’s keep on analyzing to narrow the choices down.

So let’s talk about Lelouch’s thought process and decision making. If you notice in the show, Lelouch takes on a very expansive goal when he obtains the power of Geass. “To protect the weak from the strong and liberate Japan.” This is a very heroic and noble goal to have. Right? As long as you stay true to your morals and justice. However, there have been moments when Lelouch stopped at nothing to obtain this goal. Let’s not forget when Lelouch had killed many innocent people and soldiers of Brittania including Shirley’s father in order to protect the Japanese people. This grandeur goal and approach to achieve it comes from a very Jupiteresque perspective. (Jupiter is the planet of excess and abundance). The only signs associated with the planet Jupiter are Sagittarius and Pisces. Well, we narrowed it down by a lot now.

Continuing on, let’s talk about Lelouch’s gambling spirit. He was definitely a risk taker who was not afraid to wage all of his coins at a chance of victory. Let’s not forget who staged all of the terrorist attacks against Brittania. Or the time the Britannian forces thought they had trapped Zero and his subordinates in a large tower but really Lelouch gambled his life and his subordinates on the hope they would do that so he could detonate bombs that would bring the tower down and crush the Britannian military. There was also the time Lelouch confronted the head of a powerful company that manufactured weapons. He knew, going in there, the company head would want to see Zero’s face so he set this plan up that would a.) show the company head his true identity without his subordinates there finding out who he was and b.) still having his identity hidden to his subordinates but having them there to show that he does have the power to practically do anything. These were only a few examples of Lelouch’s quick risk-taking and intelligent decisions. Being a big risk taker is definitely a Sagittarius trait however how inquisitively and analytically he planned out every situation is definitely a Virgo trait.

One more thing I would like to add before my final conclusion. That is the JLF saw him as a noble leader. Almost every one of those freedom fighters was willing to lay down their lives for the dream Zero had in mind for the Japanese. That noble leader quality is definitely what you find again in Sagittarius and Virgo.

My Zodiac Verdict:

Sagittarius with a Virgo Moon

I know some of you are like, “How in the hell are you two signs?”

Well….you can have multiple different signs in your birth chart. Let me crash course it for ya!

When you were born every planet was in a specific place in the solar system. For Lelouch Lamperouge (aka Lelouch vi Brittannia) he probably was be born when the Sun was in Sagittarius and the Moon was in Virgo.  The sun is the essence of who you are. You were born on Dec 5th so you are Sun Sagittarius that is the main energy you radiate, but then you have your moon which deals with intuition and thinking.

(And I’m not just saying this because the anime and manga states he was born on December 5th, 2000)

Based on what we talked about. Lelouch is seen as a very noble leader, huge risk taker, has very expansive ideas and will do what is necessary to achieve them, hella charismatic, easy on the eyes, things typically fall into place easily for him….these are all Sagittarius traits. And you have his Moon in Virgo that shows more of his intellect, intuition, and thought process. Virgos are known to be very analytical, great problem solvers, huge in-depth thinkers, and are great at planning. Honestly, this trait played an integral role for Zero. The Sagittarius side of him had expansive ideas and had a pretty expansive approach to obtaining those ideas, but the Virgo Moon was what allowed him to execute those ideas with sharp intuition and intelligence. Being very inquisitive, planning for every outcome, and thinking every move very carefully. Virgo is also a very noble and diplomatic sign. Most people of Virgo are always wanting to change something for the good. Whether it’s themselves, their environment, or the word, they are forever reaching for change. This definitely added fuel to that Sagittarius fire in Lelouch.
